What is Mission Control?
Mission Control is your practice's daily command center. It consolidates all the important patient events and tasks that require your attention into one convenient dashboard, helping you stay organized and ensure no patient falls through the cracks.
What This Covers (And What It Doesn't)
β This article provides an overview of each section within Mission Control and explains how to configure its settings and the daily summary email.
β It does not provide a deep dive into the features that feed into Mission Control, like Campaigns or Forms. Please see the Related Articles for those topics.
β Understanding the Mission Control Dashboard
Mission Control is organized into different categories on the left, each tracking a specific type of event or task. Here are some of the key sections:
To Do List: A combined, primary view of all the alerts you've chosen to track.
Form Submission: This is your to-do list for new forms. It only shows submissions that need action, such as those that have not been viewed, need to be approved, or need to be linked to a patient. Once you handle a submission, it is removed from this view.
Answering Service: View all missed calls, voicemails, and new messages that came through the AI Answering Service or the Web Chat widget on your website.
Missed Appointments: View any appointments that have not yet been marked as "Attended" in your EHR. You can control how far back this list looks (e.g., only the last hour) in Mission Control > Settings. From this list, you can manually send an alert to a patient by clicking the message icon. If you have an automated Missed Appointment Campaign active, patients on this list will be messaged automatically.
Birthdays: See patients with upcoming birthdays along with their next scheduled visit so you can wish them well in person or send them a message. If you have the automated Birthday Campaign active, patients on this list will be messaged automatically on their birthday.
Unconfirmed: A list of patients who haven't yet confirmed their upcoming appointments.
Scheduling Leads: See contact info from people who started booking online but didn't finish.
Missing Details: A list of patients missing a phone number or email, prompted by the "To-Do List Email."
Care Plans: If you use Aloha's Care Plans feature, this section helps you track any missed appointments that are part of a specific plan.
Call-to-Action: A list of internal tasks for your staff that have been automatically created by your campaigns.
Insurance Verification: Track and verify insurance submissions from patients.
β How to Customize Your Mission Control View
You can rearrange, remove, and add back categories to your Mission Control to prioritize what's most important to you. This affects what you see on the screen.
To Reorder Sections: Simply click, drag, and drop the category boxes into your preferred order.
To Remove a Section: Hover your mouse over the category box you wish to remove. An "X" will appear in the top-right corner. Click it to remove the section.
To Add a Section Back: Scroll to the bottom of the Mission Control page and find the Add Sections dropdown menu. Select the section you want to add back from the list. It will appear at the bottom of your dashboard, and you can then drag it to your desired position.
Save Settings: Remember to click Save Settings at the bottom of the page to lock in your changes.
β How to Configure the "To-Do List" Email
The "To-Do List" email is a daily summary of the alerts you choose. This is configured separately from your on-screen view.
Go to Mission Control > Settings.
In the list of notification types, turn the toggles ON (blue checkmark) for each category you want to receive in your daily summary email.
In the Recipient(s) field for each notification, enter the email addresses (separated by commas) of who should receive that specific alert.
π‘ Common Questions
What You Might Notice | Why It's Happening | What to Do |
I'm not receiving the daily To-Do List email. | The email feature might be disabled, or no email address might be entered as a recipient for the alerts you want to receive. | Go to Mission Control > Settings. Ensure the toggles for the alerts you want are ON, and verify that your email address is correctly entered in the Recipient(s) field for each one. Also, check your spam/junk folder. |
A 'Scheduling Lead' is in my list, but the 'Next Appointment' column already shows a date and time. | This means the person initially abandoned the booking process (which created the lead), but they later came back and successfully scheduled an appointment on their own. | This is a success story, and no action is needed from you. The alert simply informs you that a potential lost lead was successfully converted into a booked appointment. You can remove this alert to clear it from your list. |
A form submission disappeared from Mission Control, and I need to find it again. | This is by design. Mission Control only shows forms that need action. Once a form is viewed, approved, and linked, it is removed from this to-do list. | You can find all submissions (including ones you've already handled) by going to Forms > Show Forms and clicking the number under the # Submissions column. You can also find them in the patient's contact profile. |
