Conditional Formatting Step-by-Step Guide

In this article, we'll guide you through the step-by-step process of performing conditional formatting, empowering you to interpret and analyze data like a pro.

Step 1: Click the "Conditional Formatting" Option from a Tabular Insights Report

Once you have the report open, look for the "Conditional Formatting" option, typically located in the top toolbar or in the settings menu.

Step 2: Choose "Create New Rule"

Upon clicking the "Conditional Formatting" option, look for the "Create New Rule" button, and click on it to initiate the rule creation process.

Step 3: Select the Column for Rule Application

This step is crucial, as it determines which data will be impacted by the formatting conditions. From the drop-down menu, select the desired column for your formatting rule.

Step 4: Define the Value and Attribute

Choose the attribute that best represents the data you want to analyze, such as "Greater Than," "Less Than," or "Equal To." Then, enter the benchmark value in the provided field.

Step 5: Choose the Color for Formatting the Column

Colors play a vital role in visually differentiating data and drawing attention to key insights.

Highlighting key insights with customized colors enhances data interpretation and enables you to make well-informed decisions.
