Transferring folder ownership in Revlitix ensures that the appropriate team member has control over the folder's contents and permissions.
Follow these steps to transfer ownership:
Step 1: Verify Your Permissions
Ensure you are the owner of the folder or have edit access. Only users with these permissions can initiate a transfer of ownership.
Step 2: Access Folder Options
Navigate to the folder you wish to transfer.
Click on the options icon (typically represented by three dots) next to the folder name.
From the dropdown menu, select Share.
Step 3: Initiate the Transfer
In the Folder Access window, you'll see a list of users with access to the folder.
If the user you want to transfer ownership to isn't listed, enter their email address to add them.
Next to the user's name, click on the access level dropdown and select Transfer ownership.
Enable Share Access: Enter the team member's email address and click the 'Can Edit' option from the drop-down menu.
Select Team Member: The User may choose the name of the team members with whom they can share the folder.
Select Transfer Ownership: Find the drop-down menu next to the user's name to whom you want to transfer ownership, and select 'Transfer ownership.'
Step 4: Confirm the Transfer
A confirmation dialog will appear.
Click Confirm to finalize the transfer of ownership.
Once completed, the selected user will become the new owner of the folder, and your access level will adjust accordingly.
