Managing user access is crucial for maintaining data security and ensuring that only authorized personnel can view or modify sensitive sales analytics information. Follow these steps to remove a user's access:
Step 1: Verify Your Permissions
Ownership or Edit Access Required:
You must be the owner of the folder or have edit permissions to manage user access.
Only owners can remove any user.
Users with edit access can remove others with view or edit permissions (but not the owner).
Step 2: Open Folder Options
Locate the folder from which you want to remove access.
Click the Options icon (three dots) next to the folder name.
From the dropdown, select Share.
Step 3: Open Sharing Settings
In the Share Access window, you’ll see a list of users who currently have access.
Find the user whose access you want to revoke.
Click the access level dropdown next to their name.
Select Remove Access.
Step 4: Confirm Access Removal
A confirmation pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the action.
Click Confirm to permanently remove the user’s access from the folder.
By following these steps, you can ensure that only the right individuals have access to key folders and reports within Sales Analytics—keeping your workspace secure and collaborative.
