How to Remove Access for Another User in Sales Analytics

In Sales Analytics on the Revlitix platform, managing user access to folders is crucial for maintaining data security and collaboration efficiency. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you remove another user's access effectively.

Steps to Remove User Access

Step 1: Verify Your Permissions

  • Ownership and Edit Access: Ensure you are the folder owner or have edit permissions. Only owners and users with edit access can manage sharing and access permissions for folders.

Step 2: Open Folder Options

  • Locate and Click Options Icon: Find the folder whose access you want to adjust. Click the options icon (often displayed as three dots) next to the folder you want to manage. You'll see options like 'Rename,' 'Share,' and 'Delete.'

Step 3: Open Sharing Settings

  • Access Sharing Settings: Click 'Share' to open the 'Share access' card. Here, you'll see a list of users and their current access levels.

  • Prepare to Remove Access: Find the user whose access you want to remove. Click on the drop-down menu next to their name and select 'Remove access.'

Step 4: Confirm Access Removal

  • Access Removal Conditions: Remember that users with edit access can only remove the access of other users who have edit or view permissions. They cannot remove the owner’s access.

  • Confirmation Pop-Up: After selecting 'Remove access,' a confirmation pop-up will appear to remove the user’s access.

By following these steps, you can effectively remove access for a user, ensuring that only the right individuals have access to sensitive folders and data within your Sales Analytics workspace. This helps keep your collaborative environment secure and efficient.
