How to Create a Cohort Analysis for Multiple Objects without a Unique Key

Introduction

This guide will help you create a Cohort Analysis for multiple objects in Revlitix when a unique key is unavailable. Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up and save your analysis.

Steps to Generate Cohort Analysis for a Multi-Object

Step 1: Access the Reports Section

  • Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) in the Reports section.

  • Select “View Reports.”

  • Click “New Report” to create a new report.

Step 2: Add Widgets to Your Report

  • If editing an existing report, click “Add Widgets.”

  • To create a new widget, click “Add Your Widget.”

Step 3: Choose or Create a Widget Template

  • Choose from:

    • “Select your templates”

    • “Select from Revlitix templates”

  • Or click “Create Custom Widget” to build one from scratch.

  • Enter the widget name in the provided space.

  • Click the Save icon.

Step 4: Configure the Widget

  • Widget Type: Select Cohort Analysis

  • Description: Add a meaningful description.

  • Channel Name: Choose a CRM channel (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Choose Multi-Object from the options available under Object Type.

Step 5: Select Objects and Stages

  • Select the Primary and Secondary Objects.

  • Define the Funnel Stages.

Step 6: Handle the Unique Key Question

  1. When asked, "Is there a unique key to link these objects?" click No.

    • The first common hardcoded field, Email (Revlitix field), will be available.

    • For the Primary and Secondary Object fields, input will be taken from the respective Object fields.

Note: Email and Company names are hardcoded, with Email being a mandatory field.

Step 7: Exclude Standard Domains

  • Email is mandatory, so enter the domain names to be excluded from the Exclude Standard Domain field.

Step 8: Set the Time Range

  • Choose the time period for which you want to view the cohort analysis.

Step 9: Select Aggregation

  • Select how data should be grouped:

    • Weekly

    • Monthly

    • Quarterly

Step 10: Preview the Chart

  • After providing the necessary configuration details, a preview cohort chart will be available.

Step 11: Switch Views

  • Toggle between charts and graphs using the Switch button.

Step 12: Show Totals

  • Check the Show Total checkbox to view the total.

Step 13: Save the Template (Optional)

  • Check the box to save this template and the configuration for future use.

Step 14: Create the Widget

  • Click “Create Widget” to finalize.

Final Step: Save Your Report

  • Hit “Save Report” to return to the report details page, where your cohort widget is now added.

Following these steps, you can create and save a Cohort Analysis for multiple objects in Revlitix, even when a unique key is unavailable.
