Rewaa platform offers cash and card payment options to track collected amounts from customers and suppliers. Additionally, it allows you to add other payment methods tailored to your business needs, such as bank transfers, Rewaa Pay, and more. These methods can be used during sales at the cashier or for documenting supplier purchases.

Adding Payment Methods to the Platform

Steps to Add a Payment Method:

  • Go to Settings > Payment Methods > Add Payment Method.

  • Enter the name of the payment method.

  • Select the category: Cash, Credit Card, Other, or SoftPOS.

  • Add a description (optional).

    • Example: This payment method is for suppliers only.

  • Click the checkmark (✔) to save.

  • The payment method is added immediately. You can activate it for a sales register if needed to use it for transactions and invoice issuance.

Editing a Payment Method

Before adding a payment method, ensure all details are accurate as they are tied to financial transactions on the platform.

Steps to Edit a Payment Method:

  • Go to Settings > Payment Methods > Click 🖋 icon.

  • Modify the following details:

    • Payment method name

    • Description

  • Click the checkmark (✔) to save changes.

1. What is Rewaa Pay (SoftPOS) under the payment method category?

Rewaa Pay is a digital point-of-sale service that allows you to receive payments from customers using methods like Mada, Visa, MasterCard, and more. It can be activated on Android devices with NFC technology, turning them into a SoftPOS terminal. For more details about Rewaa Pay, click here.

2. Can I delete a payment method after adding it?

No, payment methods cannot be deleted. However, you can remove them from the sales register or edit their details.

3. How can I create a payment method exclusively for suppliers?

All payment methods added to the platform appear when making payments to or from suppliers. You can distinguish a payment method by naming it accordingly, e.g., Cash - Suppliers, and use it without adding or activating it in the sales register.

4. Can I add delivery app names (e.g., Jahez, HungerStation) as payment methods?

Yes, follow the same steps and name the payment method after the delivery app.

5. Can I change the payment method type (e.g., Cash, Credit Card)?

Unfortunately, the type cannot be changed after adding the payment method. You will need to add a new payment method.

6. How can I add the payment method to the sales register?

Once added to the platform, the payment method can be linked to the sales register. For more details, click here.

7. I updated the payment method name, but it hasn’t changed in the user account. What should I do?

For the user account, refresh the browser by clicking the reload icon next to the address bar or pressing CTRL+R.

If you’re using the mobile app or Sunmi devices, log out and log back in to see the updated name.
