Exporting Products as an Excel File

After adding products or services to the Products section, you can export them into an Excel file to review and analyze their details. The exported Excel file includes all data related to the added products. You can export all product types except digital products (currently unavailable for export).

Steps to Export Products

  • Navigate to Export Products

    • Go to: Products and Inventory > Products > Export.

  • Select Export Type

    • Products: To export all products, click this option.

  • Click: Export. A compressed file named “products export” will be downloaded, containing Excel files categorized by product types (e.g., Simple Products, Variable Products, Composite Products). Each type is exported in a separate file.

  • Batch List: For detailed information about batch-tracked products (e.g., medicines with expiration dates), select this option.

  • Click: Export, The downloaded Excel file includes details such as the SKU, supplier code, location code, batch creation date, batch quantity, batch number, and expiration date.

  • Serial Numbers List: For details on serial-number-tracked products (e.g., phones and electronic devices), select this option.

  • Click: Export, The downloaded Excel file includes information such as the SKU, supplier code, location code, creation date, serial numbers, quantity per serial number, and expiration date.


FAQs

1. Can I export only single-type products if I have multiple types (e.g., simple and variable-type products)?

When exporting products, all types are included in a compressed file. Each type is saved in a separate Excel file with the following naming conventions:

  • Single-type products: Simple Products.

  • Variable-type products: Variable Products.

  • Composite products: Composite Products.

2. Are additional fields included in the exported file?

Yes, any additional fields added to product data will be included in the exported Excel file.

3. How can I identify weighted products in the exported Excel file?

Check the “Weighted” column. If the field contains “yes”, the product is weighted.

4. How can I identify services in the exported Excel file?

Check the “Enable stock management” column. If the field contains no, the product is a service with stock management disabled.
