Creating and managing your bookshelf on Read for My School

Build out your personal bookshelf as well as book wish list to support your fundraiser!

Updated over a week ago

With Read for My School, you can create and manage a personal bookshelf and wish list to support your school fundraiser. Your bookshelf is an easy way to track the books you would like to read.

To add a book to your personal bookshelf to track minutes, click on the BOOKS icon. Next, you will see options to start adding books to your personal bookshelf.

  • Option 1: Search for a book title using our search tool

  • Option 2: Select a book title from your recommended reading lists

If you choose option 1 (search tool), you can search for the book title or insert the ISBN #. For our mobile apps available through the Apple App and Google Play store, use our BOOK SCANNER to take a picture with your camera phone of the ISBN. Once you've found your book title, you will have an option to add the book to your personal bookshelf and start reading/tracking your minutes.

Once you added your book to your bookshelf, go back to the BOOKS app screen and click on MY BOOKS. There you will see the book title that you've added. Your My Books section also manages the books you've completed as well as your book MY WISHLIST. Your book wishlist will be seen by donors to buy for you once they successfully donate on your personal donation page.

TIP: Tell your donors to buy books from your wish list. We've partnered with a wonderful discount book provider Better World Books to get you and your donors the best prices on books!

Now that you've added a book, the next step is to select it when you track your reading minutes. To learn more about tracking your reading minutes, click here.
