How do I open a loan?

Opening a Bitcoin-backed loan through Rhino is quick and straightforward. You apply directly in the Rhino app, which connects you to Arch Lending for the full loan process.

βœ… Before You Start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • A verified Rhino account (KYC completed)

  • Bitcoin available to use as collateral

  • A US bank account or crypto wallet to receive your loan funds

  • You're located in a state where Arch loans are currently available

πŸ“± Step-by-Step: Opening Your Loan

  1. Open the Rhino app and tap Loans from the main menu

  2. On the home screen, scroll down to the 'Bitcoin-Back' Loans card

  3. Create an account with Arch

  4. Once in the Arch application, you can configure your loan

πŸ—‚οΈ Managing Your Loan

After your loan is open, you can manage everything through the Arch dashboard, which you can navigate to within the Rhino App.

  • Monitor your LTV in real time

  • Make interest payments via ACH, wire, or USDC

  • Add collateral if your LTV rises toward the margin call threshold

  • Repay early at any time β€” no penalty

  • Roll over or refinance at end of term

πŸ”„ What Happens at the End of the Term?

Loans are offered for up to 12-month terms. At the end of your term, you have three options:

  • Repay in full β€” pay back the principal and your Bitcoin is returned

  • Rollover β€” extend your loan for another term from the dashboard

  • Refinance β€” adjust your loan amount or rate for the next period
