RiseKit will help you to improve frontline staff's communication with program candidates/participants. With ever-changing circumstances regarding in-person interaction, it is crucial to still have a scalable method of supporting your program candidates/participants.

Navigation:

To access the Chat, do the following:

  1. Login to your RiseKit account at Staff Portal.

  2. Move your mouse toward the left-hand navigation.

  3. You should see links that show the following options:

    • Organization

    • Chat

    • Candidates

    • Resources

    • Surveys

  4. Click on "Chat".

When you select the chat tab, you will be directed to all conversations with your candidates/participants. Here you will be able to pick up old conversations or start new ones with candidates/participants logging into RiseKit for the first time.

How to Start a Chat with a New Candidate/Participant

  1. To start a chat with a candidate/participant who has never been invited to join RiseKit, select "+Candidate" in the top left corner.

  2. Follow the prompts on the screen to finish the chat setup.

How to Chat with an Existing Participant

You will see a list of all candidates/participant conversations from the chat screen. You can scroll through the list to locate the conversation you want or use the search bar to search for the participant's name.

  1. Select the candidate/participant you want to chat with and click on their conversation. This will pop up in the chat history.

  2. Review all previous messages sent and received (messages in light yellow indicate they are a mass message sent to that candidate).

  3. Send a new message by typing in the Type your response here section.

  4. Once you've typed your message or added the attachment, click "Send Message".

The 1:1 chat with the candidate will be labeled as the candidate's name.

Other conversations (group chats with other nonprofit organizations or employers) will be titled with the employer's name or a specific group chat title.
