RiseKit uses the term "resources" to describe support services, training programs, job opportunities, and events. You can use RiseKit to explore local offerings through our network of nonprofits and employers.
From Home screen:
Depending on your customized settings, you will be greeted with numerous stage tiles on your Home screen. Each of these stages holds sharable resources specific to the challenges faced by participants who live in them.
Barrier Reduction - Share support services that address barriers to employment.
New Signups - Enroll participants in internal programs/resources that you've added to RiseKit.
Enroll & Engage - Share jobs, training, and more with participants as they build their skills and overcome barriers.
Program Complete - Share personalized jobs once they have earned certifications or add new skills to their resume.
Employed - Send check-ins and update jobs statuses to ensure stability in participants' careers.
In each of these stage tiles, you can access and share relevant resources through various buttons next to each participant's name.
Example:
To access all Resources:
1. Login to your RiseKit account at Staff Portal.
2. Move your mouse toward the left-hand menu.
3. Click on Resources.
Exploring & Discovering Resources
2. Under Browse Resources, choose the option for the type of resource needed.
Support Services: Opportunities or services in the community that will support a need or barrier a participant faces (i.e. food support, mental health care, transportation assistance, etc.)
Training Programs: A longer-term job training program (i.e. a Microsoft certificate program, welding program, CNA program, etc.)
Job Opportunities: Open job opportunities that have been curated by RiseKit or our employer partners specifically for your participants.
Event: A one-time or short-term session, (i.e. a job fair, pop-up event, resume class, etc.)
2. To simplify the search, each resource type has the option for searching a keyword (like "resume", "customer service", or "clothing") or to sort by most or least recently added, tuition cost, and salary. Each resource type also has filtering options.
To help narrow down the resources you will see, your filters automatically show resources within 15 miles of your organization.
3. Once you have identified a possible resource to send to a participant, click the resource tile to see more information about the resource.
Sharing Resources
1. Identify a resource to send to a participant.
2. Click the resource tile to see more information about the resource.
3. When you're ready to send it to your participant, click Send to Participants.
4. Enter/find the participant's name or group name for multiple participants and then click Send.
5. Invited participants will receive a text and/or email notification that a resource has been shared with them.
6. The resource will then be saved in the Resources section of the participant's profile as a record of shared opportunities. You can then update the participant's status and progress as it relates the resource you shared.
