Introduction

The Risk Alive Upload Portal allows users of the Risk Alive platform to securely send data, including Process Hazards Analysis (PHA), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Block Flow Diagrams (BFD) to the Risk Alive team.

Your Customer Service Representative will secure areas within the Upload Portal for each of your company's locations or refineries or assets in order to keep the information organized.

This Guide will cover the following topics:

  • What is the Client Portal?

  • How do I get access to the Client Portal?

  • How do I upload files to the Client Portal?

  • Tips and Tricks

What is the Client Portal?

Your company has been setup with a customized portal which contains location containers for each of your refineries, facilities or assets. All data uploaded must be uploaded to the correct Location.

Access the secure Client Portal here.

Each Location setup for your organization has a dedicated Upload page where files can be dragged and dropped into the portal. Once files are uploaded, an alert is sent to the Risk Alive team and we will take things from there.

How do I get Access to the Client Portal?

You will be receive an automated email from the Client Portal system when you have been invited to upload data. You will receive one invite for each Location to which you have been granted access.

The email you receive will appear similar to the following.

Click "Accept Invitation" to begin the sign-on process.

You will be asked to verify your email through the Microsoft credentialing system and will likely require 2-Factor Authentication by providing a code sent to your corporate email address.

Once you successfully log into the Client Upload Portal, you will land on the main Upload Portal page shown at the top of this article.

How do I upload files to the Client Portal?

Once you have successfully logged into the Client Portal (see "How do I get access to the Client Portal?" above) you can now start uploading data.

STEP 1. Select your Location
On the Client Portal page, click the "Go" button to the left of the Location for which you want to upload data. This will take you to the Location specific Upload page.

STEP 2. Find the Files and Drag-and-drop
On your computer or your company's network, locate the files you would like to upload. Select one or more files at a time and drag them into the file list. The system will queue all files and upload them automatically.

STEP 3. Verify Files have been Uploaded

Depending on the number and size of files, the system may take a few minutes to complete the upload process and refresh the list of documents. Once successfully uploaded, the Documents list will show each file uploaded.

DONE! That is all you have to do. Risk Alive will take care of the rest!

Tips and Tricks

'From the Upload page, you can click the "Client Portal" link which takes you back to the main page if you want to switch Locations to upload.

If the Drag-and-drop feature doesn't work for your system or browser, clicking the "Upload" button in the Documents ribbon will open a standard File Explorer window where you can select files for upload.

If you have a question or comment, you can leave those in the Comments section which is available at the bottom of the Upload page. The Risk Alive team recieves a notification when users enter comments or questions through this feature.

Risk Alive has provided quick access to information you may need during file selection and uploading. Those can be accessed on all Upload pages for each location.
