Your products are the building blocks of every creative asset in Riverflow. By adding them to your library, you unlock the ability to run AI-powered Photoshoots, organize collections, and maintain visual consistency across every campaign.

Think of this as your digital warehouse—once it’s stocked, the creative possibilities are endless.

Before You Start

  • Select your Brand: Ensure the correct brand is active in the sidebar.

  • Image Quality: Prepare at least one high-resolution, "clean" image (preferably on a neutral background) for each product.

  • Shopify Users: Have your store URL ready for a seamless sync.

How to Add Your Products

There are two ways to get your products into Riverflow: syncing your entire store or adding items one by one.

Option 1: Import from Shopify (Recommended)

This is the fastest way to bring your catalog to life.

  1. Open Products from the sidebar and select Bulk import products.

  2. Enter your Shopify URL and click "Fetch."

  3. Review the List: Riverflow will show you all available products. Select the ones you want to bring in.

  4. Queue the Import: Click "Import" and watch the progress bar. Once finished, your products will be ready for their first photoshoot.

Option 2: Add Products Manually

Perfect for new prototypes, bespoke items, or products that are not in the Shopify store.

  1. In the Products tab, click Create new.

  2. SINGLE

    1. Enter your Product URL and click "Add Product."

  3. MANUAL

    1. Identity: Enter the product name and a factual description.

      • Tip: Focus on what the item is (e.g., "12oz Ceramic Matte Mug") rather than marketing copy.

    2. Upload Media: Drag and drop your product images.

      • Note: The first image you upload becomes the "Primary Image" used for AI generation. You can reorder them at any time.

  4. Save: Hit "Create Product" and verify the product appears in your list.

Best Practices for High-Quality Assets

  • The "Clean" Rule: Use images where the product is clearly visible and well-lit. Avoid busy backgrounds; the AI works best when it can easily identify the product's edges.

  • Multiple Angles: Uploading 3-4 angles helps Riverflow understand the 3D shape, packaging details, and texture of your item.

  • Naming Conventions: Use short, consistent names (e.g., "Summer Tote - Navy") to make searching easier for your team later.

  • Post-Import Audit: After a Shopify sync, spend 2 minutes spot-checking titles and primary images to ensure everything looks exactly how you want it.

Troubleshooting

"My product isn't showing up after an import."

Give it a moment! Large Shopify catalogs can take a minute to process. Try refreshing the page or double-check that you are in the correct Brand folder.

"The wrong image is showing up as the main one."

No problem. Click into the product, go to the image gallery, and drag your preferred shot to the first position.

"I can't import a specific Shopify item."

This usually happens if the product is already in Riverflow or if the Shopify listing is missing a valid image file.
