Driver Pools are the foundation of every booking you make on Road Ninja. By setting them up correctly, you ensure that your job requests are instantly sent to the right drivers, every time.

Think of a Driver Pool as a template for your ideal driver. Instead of specifying license, endorsements, and skills for every new job, you simply select a pre-defined pool, saving you time and effort.

This guide will walk you through creating, managing, and using your Driver Pools.

Why Driver Pools Matter

  • When you create a job, you simply select a pool and speed up the booking process.

  • Job requests only go to drivers who match the exact license, endorsements, and skills you’ve defined in your driver pools.

Creating a New Driver Pool

You can create and edit your pools at any time from your company dashboard.

Navigate to Your Driver Pools

  • From the main dashboard, navigate to your Company Profile.

  • Select the Driver Pools tab. Here you will see a list of your existing pools.

1. Create a New Pool

Click the "+ Add" button. This will open a form where you can define your driver pool requirements.

2. Define Your Driver Requirement Preferences

This is where you tell the system exactly who you're looking for.

  • Select the required licence class (e.g., Class 2, Class 4, Class 5).

  • Select the required type of driving skills (e.g., Scrapers, Crushers, Tractors).

  • Tick all the endorsements the driver must have (e.g., F, D, V, P).

3. Refine with Specific Details

Use the dropdown menus at the bottom of the page to add critical requirements:

  • Gearbox Experience: Specify the required transmission experience (e.g., Automated Manual, Road Ranger).

  • Vehicle Combination: If applicable, choose the combination experience needed (e.g., Semi, B-Train).

  • Region: Select the geographic region(s) this pool will be used for.

💡 Tip: If you make a mistake or want to start over, click the Clear all link to reset all preferences.

3. Save Your Driver Pool

Once you have configured all your requirements, click the black Save Pool button at the bottom right. Your new pool is now ready to be used when creating a booking.

Editing an Existing Pool

Your business needs can change, and your Driver Pools can too.

  1. Navigate to the Driver Pools tab in your Company Profile.

  2. Find the pool you wish to edit in the list.

  3. Click the Edit Pool Preferences button next to the pool's name.

  4. Make your required changes in the form and click Save Pool.

How to Use Driver Your Pools in a Booking

Once your pools are set up, using them is simple.

When you Create a Booking, one of the first steps will be to select which type of driver you need. Instead of filling out the requirements from scratch, you will simply choose from a dropdown list of the Driver Pools you created.
