Your Profile Checklist
Before you start, here's what you'll need.
1 | Work history: At least 2 past driving jobs listed on your profile. |
2 | Reference: At least 1 reference. |
3 | Driving skills: ALL vehicle types you can drive selected. |
4 | Driver licence: Correct licence number, version + classes. |
5 | Current address: Your home address is up to date. |
Work History and References
Navigate to your Profile settings in the Road Ninja app to complete the Work History section, and to add a referee.
From your profile in the Road Ninja app, select Job Experience.
Tap the "+" icon to add a new entry.
Specify the details of your previous job experience.
Toggle the "Use this job as a referee" option to On.
Fill in the required contact information for your referee.

How to Update Your Driving Skills
Companies search for drivers by the specific vehicle types they need. If you only have one skill listed, you'll miss out on jobs that match your other abilities.
From your profile in the Road Ninja app, select Driving Skills.
Tap "Edit".
Select all the vehicle categories you are qualified to drive.
Enter the amount (hourly rate) you wish to charge for that specific driving skill.
Select the experience range that applies to that specific skill (e.g., 2–5 years).
Tap the Save button at the bottom once your selections are made.

How to Update Your License Details
Your licence number is used to run a check through NZTA. If your licence number is wrong, the check fails, and your profile stays inactive until it's fixed.
From your profile in the Road Ninja app, select Specifications.
Tap on Update licence.
Remove old licence photos and upload your new licence
Type in your new 3-digit version number exactly as it appears on your licence card.
Ensure your selected qualifications match your current licence.
Tap the Save button at the bottom once your selections are made.

Current Address: Ensuring Your Location is Correct
Road Ninja matches you to companies based on where you live. If your address is wrong, you won't show up for the right jobs in your area.
From your profile in the Road Ninja app, select Payments.
Tap Update Bank Account Details.
Verify your address, update if required.
Tap the Save button at the bottom once your updates are made.
