How Do Rootabl Tracking Links Work with Multiple Product Options?

Rootabl lets you use tracking links to monitor traffic and sales across different product offerings, even if they vary in price or type. Here’s how to effectively use tracking links for multiple products.

Using Tracking Links with Multiple Product Options:

  1. Assign a Primary Tracking Link: The primary tracking link is where affiliates will send leads. You can set this link to any landing page or sales page relevant to your product(s).

  2. Adding Links for Different Products: If you have multiple product options, such as tiered membership plans or one-time purchases, you can add these as separate tracking links within Rootabl. Affiliates will still be able to see a primary link, but any secondary links you add will also be credited.

  3. Cookie Tracking Across Products: Once a visitor clicks on an affiliate’s tracking link, Rootabl cookies the device. If the user later navigates to a different product (e.g., from a free membership to a paid plan), Rootabl will still attribute the sale to the affiliate as long as the user remains on the same device and browser.

  4. Managing Tracking Across Devices: Note that Rootabl cookies work on a per-device and per-browser basis. If a user switches devices, tracking will only persist if they click on the affiliate link again.

Tip: If you have specific high-ticket products that you don’t want eligible for commissions, you can apply filtering within your Rootabl account to ensure only the desired products are included in the affiliate program.
