At Rootabl, we make affiliate payouts effortless, clear, and flexible. Here’s how it works—and how you can customize it to fit your business needs.

How Affiliate Payouts Work

  1. Automatic Payouts

    • Rootabl deducts affiliate commissions from your account 30 days after a sale is made.

    • We also deduct a 5% transaction fee (based on the commission amount, not the sale). This fee covers transfer costs.

  2. Who Pays the Fee?

    • You choose:

      • Cover the 5% fee yourself, or

      • Pass the fee along to your affiliates.

    • There are no extra costs beyond this fee.

  3. When Affiliates Get Paid

    • Affiliates receive their earnings in their chosen bank account within 15 days of the funds being withdrawn from your account—often sooner!

  4. Built-In Tax and Currency Support

    • Rootabl takes care of tax forms and currency conversions automatically.

    • Payments can be made in 135+ currencies, so paying international affiliates is seamless.

Setting Up Payments

  1. Connect Your Bank Account

    • Log into your Rootabl account.

    • Go to Business Settings > Payment Integrations.

    • Enter the name of your business or personal account in the Name on Bank Account field.

    • Click Connect Bank Account and follow Stripe’s prompts to link your account.

  2. How the Payment Process Works

    • An affiliate makes a sale (hooray!).

    • After 30 days, the commission is deducted from your connected account.

      • This 30-day period gives you time to process refunds or make adjustments. Refund amounts are automatically removed from the commission total.

    • Affiliates are paid directly into their bank accounts, and they can set up automatic withdrawals if they want.

How To Customize Payouts

  1. Change the Review Period

    • The default review period is 30 days. You can adjust it to:

      • 7 days to pay affiliates faster.

      • 90 days if your refund policy needs more time.

    • Important: Adjusting the review period applies to your entire business and must be requested by email or chat with our team.

  2. Choose Who Covers the Fee

    • By default, you (the business) cover the 5% transaction fee.

    • If you prefer, you can pass this fee on to affiliates.

Helpful Tips

  • We recommend sticking with the 30-day review period unless you have a long refund policy.

  • Customizing payout settings (like review periods or fees) is easy—just let our team know via email or chat.
