First off, we know this can be super frustrating! We will make sure you are taken care of and work to resolve the issues asap.
Here are a few things to try:
1) Try reloading
Tap "Help" on any screen in Roots
Tap the "reload" icon in the help modal
This should fix most issues immediately
If you are having to reload constantly please contact us!

2) Are apps being blocked in multiple places? (i.e. Challenges)
Double check to see if apps are being blocked in multiple places
If apps are being blocked by limits and downtimes, or a challenge, you will need to unblock from each place
This can be a bit confusing and we are working on making it more clear!
3) Update to the latest version of Roots
Update to version of the app here
This may solve many of the unblocking issues
4) Restart your phone
Restart your phone, then tap "reload" again
In most cases the issue should be fixed by this step
5) Reset Screen Time permissions
Go to "Settings" > "Screen Time"
Scroll down and find "Roots"
Remove access, then re-open the Roots app
Give access to screen time permissions when prompted
6) Force quit the Roots app
Force close Roots and open it again to reset the connection
Click here if you don't know how to do that
Have an emergency?
We recommend removing permissions from Roots
Go to "iOS Settings > Screen Time > Apps with screen time access"
Then remove access from Roots
(this may cause you to lose historical data on your profile)
Then, you can re-add permissions by opening Roots
