This documentation is out of date. For up-to-date information, see What is Rovo?

To find out what’s new in Rovo or how to upgrade, see recent changes to Rovo beta.

What is the Rovo beta?

Rovo beta is the pre-release version of Rovo, allowing selected users to test features under development while contributing to its continuous evolution.

What is the duration of the Rovo beta?

The beta phase for Rovo is set to start on July 9 and we plan for it to continue through the end of September.

Do beta participants receive any compensation or rewards?

While there is no monetary compensation for participating in Rovo beta, participants will have early access to Rovo's features and an opportunity to directly impact its development.

Is the Rovo beta confidential?

Please refrain from publicly sharing information about Rovo beta, including features and user experience, as it is still in the development phase.

Is there a cost to participate in the Rovo beta?

There is no cost to participate in the beta and no additional software is required to be purchased.

Do I need to have Atlassian Intelligence enabled for my site in order to participate in the Rovo beta?

Rovo can be used with all products on a site, regardless of whether other Atlassian Intelligence features are currently enabled. Rovo gives you access to net new AI features and enhances existing Atlassian Intelligence features. For example, products without Atlassian Intelligence enabled (including Free and Standard editions), may experience limitations in the capabilities of Rovo Chat and Agents. We ask that all beta participants maintain activation of Atlassian Intelligence features in Premium and Enterprise editions of Confluence and Jira products to get the maximum value from the beta full experience.

Will an Admin be able to enable Rovo beta for a subset of end users?

The Rovo beta is site-scoped meaning that admins will be able to choose the site(s) configured to include Rovo. All users in that site will have access to the Rovo beta, and Rovo can’t be enabled for a subset of users.

What features are available during the beta?

Features that may be available for beta testing include:

  • Rovo Search for the most relevant results across Atlassian products and your connected third-party products, right where you work.

  • Knowledge cards and definitions to provide instant, up-to-date insights about projects, people, teams, and concepts.

  • Rovo Chat for in-context conversations to connect with the right teams and uncover critical insights.

  • Rovo Agents with specialized skills and knowledge that can be created by users and added to workflows to handle complex tasks and take the right actions, while keeping you and your team in the loop.

If you enable Rovo for a site, all users of that site will have access to all features. Features can't be independently activated or deactivated.

Will we have access to Forge to build agents during the Rovo beta period?

We are working with a limited group of Forge partners for the initial developer early access program. As we get closer to the customer launch we will look to open this up to a wider audience. You can sign up for the developer waitlist.
