Wegovy is a prescription, once-weekly injectable medication used to support weight loss in adults living with overweight or obesity. It's a clinically proven GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics a natural hormone involved in appetite and metabolism regulation.
Who is Wegovy for?
Adults with a BMI of 30 or more
Adults with a BMI of 27 or more and at least one weight-related condition (e.g., high blood pressure, cholesterol, insulin resistance)

Reduces appetite and food cravings
Slows stomach emptying to increase fullness
Improves blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity

Clinical studies show up to 15-20% average body weight loss
Dosing Schedule
Wegovy is titrated slowly to reduce side effects.
Everyone starts at the lowest dose (0.25mg) and are increased gradually.

Common Side Effects
Nausea
Diarrhoea or constipation

Tip: Eating smaller meals and avoiding high-fat foods can reduce nausea.
Important Safety Info
Not for use if you or a family member have had medullary thyroid cancer
Not suitable with other GLP-1 medications
Not for patients with Type 1 Diabetes
