Within this article you can find:

What is my vehicle type?

The vehicle type you have set on the Ryde app determines what kind of work you can see and book. If you are set as a bicycle you will not be able to access moped shifts, for example.

You must ensure the vehicle type you have in the app is the same as the vehicle you are riding and own.

Where is my vehicle type found?

You can locate your vehicle type by going to My Account in the Ryde app and selecting the My Vehicle tab.

Delete vehicle information

If you want to change your vehicle type or remove it completely, you first need to delete the existing one.

To do this, click on the vehicle name, then the cog icon in the top right, and then Delete vehicle info.

You can now add a new vehicle, or leave it blank if you do not have a vehicle to use and only wish to access client vehicles.

Insurance information

Any motorised vehicle requires you to provide insurance information on the Ryde app. You can find more in-depth details about our insurance requirements here.

Once you pick a motorised vehicle type, such as a moped, you will automatically be given the option to upload your documents.

Client vehicles

Some of our clients will provide a vehicle for you to use while working with them. This will be made clear when you book the shift. Any training or extra information will be explained in the Ryde app too.

All riders and drivers can see all client vehicle shifts on the app regardless of the vehicle type they have. However, you may need to provide additional documents to be able to book and work them.

For more information on uploading documents, take a look here.

If you do not have a vehicle of your own and wish to only access client vehicle jobs, simply ensure your vehicle type is left blank, as seen below.
