Nomad Insurance Complete: Is there support if my home is damaged or there’s a death in the family while I’m travelling?

Yes — the Nomad Insurance Complete plan may help cover transportation costs in certain family or home emergencies.

If a member of your immediate family passes away or your primary residence is severely damaged while you are traveling, the Nomad Insurance Complete plan may reimburse necessary transportation costs so you can respond to the situation.

Coverage applies when the event meets the conditions of the Nomad Insurance Complete plan.


When this benefit applies

This benefit may apply if one of the following occurs while you are traveling:

  • A death in your immediate family

  • Severe damage to your primary residence, such as fire or weather-related damage that destroys more than 40% of the home


Who is considered immediate family

For this benefit, immediate family includes:

  • Your spouse

  • Your parents or legal guardians

  • Your children, including legally adopted children

  • Your siblings


Reimbursement limit

The benefit includes the following limit:

  • Up to USD 5,000 per plan year


Documents required for a claim

To review your claim, please submit:

  • Proof of the covered incident, such as official documentation confirming the event

  • Tickets and receipts for the related transportation costs

In some cases, additional documentation may be requested to complete the claim review.
