Nomad Insurance Complete: Is there support for my children if I’m hospitalized?

Yes — the Nomad Insurance Complete plan may provide support for your children if you are hospitalized while traveling.

If you are traveling with your children and are unexpectedly hospitalized, leaving them without care, the Nomad Insurance Complete plan may help arrange and reimburse support to ensure they are looked after.


What support may be available

Depending on the situation, this benefit may cover one of the following:

  • A one-way ticket (air or ground transportation) for your children to travel to a family member or designated caretaker

  • Paid childcare in the area where you are hospitalized

Coverage applies only when the conditions of the Nomad Insurance Complete plan are met.


When this benefit applies

This benefit may apply when:

  • Your hospitalization is medically necessary, and

  • Your hospital stay exceeds 36 hours, leaving your children unexpectedly without care


Reimbursement limits

The benefit includes the following limits:

  • Up to USD 300 per day for childcare

  • Up to USD 5,000 per plan year


Documents required for a claim

To review your claim, please submit:

  • A medical report confirming the hospitalization, showing that the admission lasted more than 36 hours

  • Proof of travel for children under 18, such as passport pages or travel itineraries

  • Proof of the relationship between you and the children

  • Transportation tickets and receipts or receipts for paid childcare

  • A copy of a government-issued ID, if requested

In some cases, additional documentation may be requested to complete the claim review.
