The Nomad Insurance Essential plan doesn't have an overall waiting period but to unlock the pain-relieving emergency dental treatment benefit, you must have had an active insurance period of at least 14 days at the onset of pain. Lastly, the Emergency treatment of a pre-existing illness or injury benefit is not valid for the first 28 days of your insurance period.
It’s also worth noting that this version of the Nomad Insurance Essential plan comes with an extra requirement in certain claim situations. Specifically, claims for accidents, illnesses, or incidents that took place/developed/were diagnosed within the first 72 hours from the purchase date and time of a new plan require additional documentation confirming that the time of the incident or onset of symptoms was after the purchase time and date.
We recommend planning ahead and purchasing your Nomad Insurance Essential plan at least 72 hours in advance.
