How does the benefit period work?
The benefit period ensures that every included condition has up to 90 days of eligible benefit from the first diagnosis or treatment.
Expenses to treat that condition are eligible for up to 90 days from the first day of diagnosis or treatment, even if your plan ends in the meantime.
This benefit only applies to conditions that started while your insurance was active, not to anything that happens after the plan ends.
Does the benefit period also work when I return to my home country?
The benefit period does not apply in your home country for illness or injury that started while you were abroad.
