No, Nomad Insurance Essential does not have a waiting period. It becomes valid once you receive your proof of insurance email which arrives shortly after the purchase is made.
If you buy your insurance with a start date in the future, your plan is activated at 00:00 (12am) on that date in UTC timezone.
