What does a pre-existing medical policy cover?

Updated this week

We'll cover you for any condition declared on your policy if you are taken ill while abroad, or if you were involved in an accident.

If you became ill whilst away as a result of your condition without appropriate cover or without disclosing your pre-existing medical condition, this can lead to complications should you need to make a claim.

All our travel insurance policies cover the cost of getting you home if medically necessary and provide you access to our highly experienced multi-lingual medical assistance team who are available 24 hours a day.

If you receive in-patient treatment in a hospital, we also provide Hospital Benefit cover up to £1,000 for Saga Standard and up to £1,500 for Saga Plus. This is for use towards incidental expenses you have to pay, such as telephone calls. Hospital Benefit is not included with Saga Essential.
