We’ve just launched a powerful update, our Custom Actions Tool, which makes it easier than ever to add third-party actions directly to your AI agents. You can now seamlessly connect your agents to tools like Stripe, Gmail, Slack, and more, all from within your agent setup.
How to Use It:
Option 1: From Account Settings
Go to Account Settings → Agent Actions and create a new action.
Option 2: During Agent Creation
While setting up a new agent, scroll to “Add Actions” and click “Create New Action”.
How It Works:
Click “Connect to Provider.”
Search for the action you’d like to add (e.g., send an email, create a lead). You can filter by provider, such as Stripe, Mailchimp, Salesforce, etc.
Connect your account via OAuth or API token authentication.
OAuth is the easiest option. Log in to your account (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce) and authorize access. No setup is required.
API Token (Bearer Token) is a manual method for pasting a secure access key from your provider’s settings. It gives the same result but requires a few extra steps.
Configure input parameters required for the action (e.g., name, email, date)
You can save the action once connected.
Assign the action to any agent. You can trigger it directly within a step in the sequence or let the agent call it automatically based on the conversation.
Tip: We recommend that you trigger it with a step prompt to ensure that it is executed at the right moment in the interaction.
