When you click 'Add Account' to get it connected, you may get a notification like this one
This error typically comes up when the wrong password is entered. Please double-check that you've put in the right LinkedIn account password. Once the password is re-entered click the save changes button.
You should get a verification code from LinkedIn, emailed to the associated LinkedIn account. It should look like this:

Copy this code and add it in the configurations section, and click connect.
