Thank-You Email

Customize your confirmation email with a thank-you message for supporters to receive after their donation.

Message

Include a call to action within your thank-you message to keep supporters engaged with your nonprofit (1500-character limit).

*250-character limit for Express plans*

Click More Options to view additional fields:

BCC

Copy a list of up to 10 email addresses on the donors thank you email.

Recurring Message (Optional)

Provide an alternative thank-you message to recurring donors to express your appreciation for their ongoing commitment (1500-character limit).

*250-character limit for Express plans*

Banner Image (Optional)

Elevate your donor communication! Include a banner image in your thank you emails to create a more engaging and personalized Giving Experience.

  • Recommended image size is 560 x 175 pixels

  • Localization support to allow for a different image based on the different supported languages of the Giving Experience

Notify By Email (Optional)

Enter a staff member's email address to notify them when a donation is made.

  • Add up to 10 email addresses, separated by commas

At this time, Merge Tags are not available for customizing Giving Experience Thank You Emails.

What does the Email look like?

When the thank you email is sent, the subject line will say "Your $[XX] Donation ā¤ļø"

In the email body, it will have your organization logo at the top, followed by:

"Hi [donor's first name],

Thank you for your generous donation of $[XX]."

Underneath that will be your customized message.

Tax Receipt

Enable tax receipts for donations made via the Giving Experience.

Tax Receipts will be attached to the contribution email as a PDF. Donors will not receive a separate tax receipt email for individual tax receipts.

Tax Receipt Label

Requires that the Show Line Items option is enabled under Contribution Display Settings in Tax Receipting Settings.

  1. No Customization (Default)

    • Items with no FMV show ā€œDonationā€

    • Items with FMV show the item and variant name

  2. Use Fund/GL Code

    • Replaces the line item description with the fund or GL code associated with the contribution

    • Displays the code, not the label

  3. Use Custom Label

    • Allows you to enter any custom description (e.g., ā€œPaint donation for childrenā€, ā€œAnnual Gala Contributionā€)

    • A value is required when using this option
