How to Record a Safety Event

Instructions to create an auditable record of an event

Recording a safety event in SaucedIt creates an auditable record that provides accountability and traceability. Incidents, hazards or near misses can be documented in real time with full detail, ensuring visibility for management and supporting escalation or follow-up actions where required. This guide explains how to record a safety event.

Recording a Safety Incident

  1. From the column to the left, navigate to the Event Register.

  2. In the top right corner, click on Create Event.

  3. Select the type of event from the relevant drop-down menu.

  4. Complete remaining event details.

  5. You can choose to Delegate the event to an employee.

  6. To record the seriousness of the event, click on the suitable coloured box.

  7. Add details under Hazard / Incident.

  8. Use your mouse to add your digital signature in the given field.

  9. For some incident types, creating an event prompts standard questions and the ability to upload related images.

  10. Complete this section and upload images, if relevant.

  11. Click Save. This will also save any images you uploaded.

  12. The event and its current status will now appear below in the Event Register list.

  13. Navigate to the Dashboard.

  14. The event record and type is now depicted in the Dashboard event widget.

  15. Click on the event bar for more details.

  16. Click the notes icon across from the incident to view details and attached documents.
