Creating a New Additional Charge

Creating add-on services

Use additional charges or add-ons for situations that require extra time, effort, or resources beyond a standard service.

Navigate to Settings: Open the Settings menu on the left-hand sidebar.
Access Services & Products: Click on the Services & Products tab.
Select Additional Charges: Click the Additional Charges tab at the top of the screen.
Add Charge: Click the + Add Additional Charge button in the top right of the "Additional Charges" section.
Enter Charge Details:
- Additional Charge Name: Enter a name that is clear for both staff and clients (e.g., "Dematting Fee" or "Late Arrival Fee").
- Description: Briefly explain why the fee is applied (e.g., "Applied when the coat is heavily matted and requires extra time").
- Type: Ensure the type is set to Added Fee.
- Pricing: Enter the Unit Price. The system will calculate the Final Price based on your Tax Type.

Discounts are used to reduce the total cost of an appointment for promotions or loyalty rewards.

Locate the Discounts Section: On the same Additional Charges tab, scroll down to the Discounts section.
Add Discount: Click the + Add Additional Charge button located within the blue Discounts header.
Enter Discount Details:
- Additional Charge Name: Give the discount a professional name (e.g., "New Customer Special" or "Multi-Pet Discount").
- Description: Detail the terms of the offer (e.g., "Save £10 off your next grooming appointment").
- Type: Set the type to Discount.
- Pricing: Enter the amount as a negative value (e.g., -10.00). The system will automatically reflect this as a deduction from the final price.
