Creating a New Grooming Service

Follow these steps to add a new grooming offering to your business:

Navigate to Settings: Open the Settings menu on the left-hand sidebar.
Access Services & Products: Click on the Services & Products tab.
Select Services List: Ensure you are on the Services List tab.
Add Service: Locate the specific category where the service belongs (e.g., "Full Groom Services" or "Nail Trimming Services") and click the + Add Service button.
Enter Service Details:
- Service Name: Provide a clear name for the service.
- Size & Coat: Assign the specific pet size (e.g., Small, Medium) and coat types (e.g., Heavy Coat, Silky Coat) this service applies to.
- Duration: Set the time required for the appointment (e.g., 60 minutes).
- Pricing: Enter the Unit Price. The system will automatically calculate the Final Price based on your Tax Type.
- Pet Type: Select whether this is for a Dog, Cat, or another animal.
- Assigned Groomers: Select the staff members capable of performing this specific service.

Can I set breed-specific pricing?

Yes, although do be aware it is a very long list to create, so it will take time to get just right with the amount of services to create.

Create the services as described above:

Then, for online booking, use the smart filtering to select the breed for the service you are creating:

Do be aware that for some breeds,

it may be necessary to create in excess of 6 services:

small cockerpoo bath and dry

small cockerpoo full groom (clipped)

medium cockerpoo bath and dry

medium cockerpoo full groom (clipped)

large cockerpoo bath and dry

large cockerpoo full groom (clipped)

Yes, to do this, you would create separate services for each price variant.

Similar to the by-breed above, except you will set each service to be available only to the right groomers.

This could also be a very long list of services to create,

but once set up would work perfectly if this is a concern of the salon:

Small breed full groom (clipped) head stylist

Small breed full groom (clipped) junior stylist

Small breed full groom (clipped) trainee stylist

Keeping your services organised in groups ensures your online booking form remains user-friendly.

Custom Sorting: Use the Sort By dropdown menu to select Custom. This allows you to arrange services in the specific order you want them to appear to customers.
Search Functionality: Use the Search services bar at the top of the list to quickly find and edit existing services.
Category Management: Services are grouped into collapsible sections (e.g., Specialist Services) to keep the interface clean and manageable.
Configuration Sync: The options for Pet Type, Breed, Size, and Coat used in your service list are managed in the Services Configuration tab to ensure consistency across your entire menu.

You can do this in the top right Cog > Services & Products > Service List

Click the pencil icon when looking at a group of services

All services will now be editable.

Changing the price, when you click to save, will give you the option to apply to all future bookings or to set all to update from a set date:
