To maintain Florida or Texas residency while living abroad, you can maintain a permanent address within the state provided by our service. This address can serve as your permanent mailing address for state ties (e.g., driver’s license correspondence). For voter registration, both states require a residential address in the county/precinct of your domicile; you may list a different mailing address. Voter registration is a helpful supporting factor but not determinative by itself.
Florida: driver’s license correspondence is handled through the Sumter County Tax Collector.
Texas: driver’s license correspondence is handled through the Texas DPS office in Aransas County.
This address can be used to show your ties to your chosen state, even when you are not physically present in the state.
