Do I need to visit the tax collectors and get a driver's license right away, or can it wait 2-3 months after establishing domicile in Florida?

Obtaining a driver's license is an important step in establishing residency.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) states you should obtain your driver's license within 30 days of moving. However, we have found that many of our customers have managed to complete this process in a few months without any issues.

We recommend that you take care of this as soon as possible to avoid any ambiguity, especially if you're relocating from states like California or New York.
