In order for SavvyNomad to accept a mail item on your behalf, the mail item must include your personal unit/lot number. This is a legal requirement from USPS, not a company policy from SavvyNomad. If a piece of mail arrives without your unit/lot number, USPS may even return it to the sender before it can be delivered to us.
If a company keeps sending mail without your unit number:
If you’ve shared your SavvyNomad address with a third party and they continue sending mail without your unit/lot number, you’ll need to update your address directly with that sender.
There are several valid ways to format your SavvyNomad address.
If the issue continues, try using a different approved format.
You can view all supported address formats in your customer portal under the Address tab.
If your mail was forwarded automatically by USPS:
If your mail is reaching SavvyNomad through a USPS change-of-address (automatic forwarding) from a previous residence, you may need to update your USPS forwarding record.
Please note:
USPS only accepts one specific mailing-address format for forwarding.
That exact format is shown in your customer portal under the Address tab when the Mailing toggle is enabled.
If the Mailing toggle is greyed out, you are on the Basic subscription, which does not include a mailing address. You cannot set up USPS forwarding to your SavvyNomad residential address.
In some cases, USPS may require you to visit a post office in person to create or modify a forwarding request. For this reason, we strongly recommend setting up (or updating) your USPS forwarding before leaving the United States for an extended period of time.
