If you receive a jury duty summons while using our service, you can attempt to request an excusal by providing proof that you are currently traveling outside the state or country where the summons was issued. You can request an excusal by following the instructions provided by the Aransas County court that issued your summons (https://www.aransascountytx.gov/main/jurynotices.php). Whether the excusal is granted or not is up to the discretion of the judge.
Please note that in Texas, prospective jurors are sourced from both voter registration records and Texas DPS records (driver's licenses and state IDs). This means you may be called for jury duty by virtue of obtaining a Texas driver's license, even if you do not register to vote.
