If you receive a jury duty summons while using our service, you can attempt to request an excusal by providing proof that you are currently traveling outside the state or country where the summons was issued. You can request an excusal by following the instructions provided by the Aransas County court that issued your summons (https://www.aransascountytx.gov/main/jurynotices.php). Whether the excusal is granted or not is up to the discretion of the judge.
Please note that each Texas county builds its jury wheel by combining two lists: the voter registration lists for all precincts in the county, and county residents who are U.S. citizens and hold a valid Texas driver's license or DPS-issued personal identification card. Duplicates between the two lists are merged, so being on both does not increase your chances of being summoned. This means you may be called for jury duty by virtue of obtaining a Texas driver's license, even if you do not register to vote.
