How to Prepare Your Campaign for a Convention

Before bringing your campaign to a convention, here are a few things we recommend taking care of:

  • Test Your Campaign in Advance
It's always a good idea to run a few tests to make sure that data is being recorded correctly. We've written a guide to help you with this process – you can read about it here.

  • Tablet Orientation in the Editor
We've received some questions about whether the editor will automatically switch to landscape mode on tablets. At this time, the answer is no. The editor is designed to scale dynamically based on screen size, so it should function correctly in both portrait and landscape modes depending on the device setup.

  • Disable Auto-Saving of Form Data
In the campaign form settings, you can disable the "Save auto fields" option. This ensures that participant data isn't stored between entries, making it quicker and easier for new participants to sign up at the convention.

Press on 'Form', go to 'Settings', then toggle 'Advanced', and turn off 'Autosave form fields'. This will ensure that the previous participant’s details are not saved:

We often recommend using the draw option, depending on the game type and purpose, so that a winner can be selected at the end — ensuring everyone is included in the pool - read more about 'draw' here.
