Quiz by Video lets you mix question types (text, images, video) with answer formats like multiple choice, text input, or ratings - but is mainly used for videos.

When you have created the campaign and you enter the specific campaign flow, then you enter the specific page with the game.

Quiz Manager

To open the manager and adjust the quiz, press the green button here:

Game Settings

At the bottom of the page, you’ll find game settings that enable the following options:

  • Option to go back to previous questions

  • Option to display text after an answer

  • Require the participant to click a button to move to the next question

  • Show the "Previous" button

Questions – How Do I Set It Up?

Create your questions via ‘Edit Quiz’. Click ‘New Question’ and ‘New Result’, add a description, and give each one a name.

Choose the answer format (text, text form, image, or rating) from the dropdown menu.

You can also choose a video type (YouTube, Vimeo, or a custom URL) to embed with your question.

For each question, you can define which result page (e.g., Result 1 or Result 2) the answer leads to, based on the number of points.

Result Pages

You can either set up a single result page for all answers or create multiple result pages to show different outcomes depending on how users respond.

Define correct answers using points. For example, if you have 3 questions, the possible outcomes might be Result 1, Result 2, or Result 3.

Add content to your result pages, including a call-to-action (CTA) button that links to another page or URL.

FYI: There's a feature called ‘Custom Page’ that lets you redirect users to another game — for example, as a reward for scoring 5 out of 5. This acts as an alternative result page if you've used the ‘Finish’ page as your result.

Under ‘Content’, you can style questions, answers, and result pages consistently — including font size, color, text style, spacing, etc. These settings apply across all relevant sections.

The ‘Button’ section under Style allows you to apply consistent styling to all buttons.

The Progress Bar can be turned on or off. It adjusts automatically based on the number of questions.

FYI: For mobile styling, go to the section in the game flow, press ‘Section’, then go to ‘Content’ > ‘Settings’, and choose ‘Custom’ to adjust question width.

Prizes (Winning Options)

There are two main prize setups, configured under ‘Game Settings’:

  • Random Draw – A winner is selected at the end of the campaign.

  • Instant Win – Disables result pages. Instead, users are immediately shown whether they’ve won.

See more information about pricing setup here: Creating a Prize in Scratcher and Email Setup.

FYI: You can access the preview and live URL for testing. Remember to clear test data. You can also set participation frequency limits.

Game Data

You can view a full overview of participants and game data, including detailed results for each question.

This includes:

  • What each user answered

  • Answer distribution (in percentages)

  • Which result page each user landed on

When exporting or sending data, both the questions and user answers are included.

FYI: If you need a different setup, you can change the game type under ‘Change Game Type’ and see the different ones here: Which Quiz Format Is Right for You?

The rest follows the standard campaign setup, where you design the full flow—including the overall campaign structure, prize pages, and emails if needed.
