In ScribbleVet, a practice account administrator can choose the Essential plan (see pricing details here: ScribbleVet Plans) when subscribing from the web app. This article covers how to select Essential instead of Unleashed, how the monthly SOAP count works, and what your options are when you reach the limit. Before you begin
You must be a practice account administrator to subscribe or change plans.
Subscribing is only available in the web app at web.scribblevet.com. If you are on a phone or tablet, open web.scribblevet.com/settings/billing in a browser.
Review what the Essential plan does not include, such as team invitations, template customization, and Direct Dial, in Subscription Plans.
Subscribe to the Essential plan
When your practice has no active subscription, you can select Essential on the Select a plan screen.
Sign in to web.scribblevet.com.
Click Subscribe now in the banner at the top of the web app.
On the Select a plan screen, select Essential.
Enter your payment details and click Subscribe.

Switch from Unleashed to the Essential plan
An administrator must cancel the current Unleashed plan, wait for their Unleashed billing term to end, then subscribe to the Essential plan.
Sign in to web.scribblevet.com.
Cancel the current Unleashed plan. Select the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right to open the Settings page → Billing → scroll to the bottom of the Next Payment section → Cancel subscription.
Wait for the cycle to end. Unleashed stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, with no prorated refund.
Subscribe to Essential. After the subscription ends: Select the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right to open the Settings page → Billing → Subscribe now → select Essential ($40/mo).
Warning: If you downgrade from Unleashed to Essential, you will lose access to any customized templates created while on Unleashed, access to the Direct Dial feature, and template customization. To retain access, stay on the Unleashed plan. |
How the 150 SOAP generations per month work
The Essential plan includes 150 SOAP generations per month.
Regenerations are counted toward the 150 SOAP limit.
The count resets at the start of your account's billing cycle.
What to do when you reach the SOAP limit
Option 1: If you’d like to purchase more, reach out to the support team. You can add an extra 100 SOAP generations for $20
Option 2: You can upgrade to the Unleashed plan, which includes unlimited customizable SOAP notes and templates. If you upgrade mid-billing cycle, charges for the current month are prorated. For details, see Subscribe to the Unleashed Plan and How Seat-Based Billing Works.

Can I invite my team to the Essential plan?
