Overview
Scrypt Mobile lets patients manage prescriptions (pharmacy-sourced and ASL/MySL sourced), place medication orders, and communicate securely with your pharmacy. To enable these features, you invite each customer and link them to your pharmacy through Scrypt HQ.
Before you start
You need access to Scrypt HQ to view or edit the customer's profile.
The customer must have a valid mobile number or email address recorded in their Dispense Systems profile.
Your pharmacy must have Scrypt Mobile enabled as part of its Scrypt subscription.
Invite a customer
In Scrypt HQ, find the customer. Use the search bar to search by name, or scan the dispense label barcode to find the associated customer.
Confirm the customer's mobile number and email address are correct. If any detail is missing, update it in the Dispense System, then refresh the page.
Click Invite to Scrypt Mobile at the top right of the profile.
Choose the invitation method. SMS invite sends a link by text message. Email invite sends the same link by email.
Review the preview message, then click Send Invitation.
What the customer receives
The customer receives a message with a secure link to download Scrypt Mobile and connect to your pharmacy. The link either redirects them to download the app, or, if the app is already installed, opens it and inserts the unique registration code to start registration. Once they complete registration, their Scrypt Mobile profile links to your pharmacy automatically. For more detail, see Register with Scrypt Mobile.
Confirm the customer is connected
After the customer connects successfully, their Mobile status updates to Active (green) in their profile. The customer can now:
View and manage prescriptions.
Chat with the pharmacy through secure messaging.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Possible cause | Solution |
Customer did not receive the invite | Incorrect contact details | Confirm the mobile number or email and resend. |
Invite link expired | Link is valid for 14 days | Resend the invitation. |
Customer account already exists (409 conflict error) | Account already exists via another profile or is linked to another tenant |
