Need a debit card for categorized spending?

Sequence makes it easy, you can create one in seconds.

No bank visit. No paperwork.

Just create a pod, click issue your debit card, and you’re ready to go.

Real debit cards, made for business

Sequence issues real personal & business debit cards through our partner, Thread Bank.

You can:

  • Create virtual or physical cards instantly

  • Assign each card to a specific purpose

  • Control how and where it’s used

  • Track every transaction, down to the dollar

Whether you’re buying ads, paying rent, or handing a card to a team member - Sequence has you covered.

So where does the money come from?

Every card in Sequence draws funds from a Pod.

Think of Pods as dedicated checking accounts you create inside your workspace.

You might have a Pod for Marketing, one for Payroll, one for Fixed Expenses - and you can attach a card to any of them.

This gives you:

  • Full control over where money is spent from

  • Built-in limits (a card can only spend what’s in its Pod)

  • Clear visibility, know exactly what each card is for

Example: Paying recurring expenses

Let’s say you want a card just for your monthly bills - rent, software, subscriptions.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Create a Pod called Fixed Expenses

  2. Set a Rule to fund it with the exact amount each month

  3. Issue a card tied to that Pod

  4. Use that card for all recurring charges

Now, you never overspend, and your bills are fully covered, on autopilot.

How teams use debit cards

  • Founders: One card each, tied to an Owner Profit Pod

  • Departments: Marketing, Ops, etc. get their own Pod + card

  • Recurring bills: Fixed Expenses Pod + card keeps vendors paid

  • Contractors: Virtual card capped at $X, assigned to a project

  • Travel: A Travel Pod topped off as needed, with a linked card

Built-in control & visibility

Every card comes with:

  • Predefined spend limits

  • Pause / cancel in one click

  • Transaction history by Pod

  • Assignable to a person - or unassigned and shared

It’s way more flexible (and safer) than a single company card for everything.

Benefits of Using a Sequence Debit Card

Stable balances for fixed expenses

  • Separate fixed spending from variable spending. Pay subscriptions, rent, and other fixed bills from dedicated debit cards so your core account balance stays meaningful and doesn’t fluctuate constantly.

Expenses automatically organized

  • Every transaction is tied to the debit card it was spent on. Export clean views of expenses by card, category, or timeframe—no manual sorting.

Custom cards for others

  • Create debit cards for employees or family members with controlled limits. Cards can automatically refill on specific dates, so spending stays predictable.

Automatic budgeting for variable expenses

  • Set rules to refill cards on a schedule. For example, every two weeks, top up your Food debit card to $300—no manual transfers.

Earn cashback

  • Get 1–1.2% cashback on spending, depending on your plan.

Who can get a card?

Anyone in your workspace - team members, founders, contractors.

You decide who gets one, what they can spend from, and how much they can use.
