Their last active date
Adding a New User
To invite someone:
Click + Invite in the top right corner
Enter their name and email
Choose their access level (Viewer or Co-Owner)
Co-Owners
A co-owner has the highest level of access inside Sequence — but how that works depends on the type of beneficiary.
They get full edit access
They can manage automations
They can download statements and documents
Most importantly, adding a co-owner creates a joint beneficiary on the account.
What is a joint beneficiary?
Once a co-owner is added, the account beneficiary updates to include both owners.
For example:
Before: Alex Morgan
After: Alex Morgan & Jamie Lee
This is what enables joint accounts and joint Pods.
Media idea: Add a before/after screenshot of the beneficiary name updating when a co-owner is added.
Creating joint accounts or joint Pods
If you want to:
Add a joint external account
Create a joint Pod
Move money under shared ownership
You must add the co-owner first.
After that:
Select the joint beneficiary
Then add the joint account or create the joint Pod
Without a co-owner, joint options won’t appear.
Viewers
A viewer has visibility, not control.
Viewers can:
View balances and activity
Download reports
Viewers cannot:
Edit automations
Move money
Create or manage Pods
Viewers are great for accountants, advisors, or anyone who needs insight without access.
Quick rule of thumb
Add a co-owner to share ownership and create joint accounts
Add a viewer for read-only access
