Want to inject more variety in your Templates? Some Templates give you the ability to upload an image or your choice to switch in and out to create even more content!

Uploading images for your existing Templates is quite straightforward. Once uploaded, they will appear as switchable items in the Content Palette.

Before you upload though, you need to see what kind of images are already working in the Template. The best way to do this is check out at an existing image, then copy its specifications and its tags.

Let's do that now!

  1. In the Template window, go to the section you wish to add your image to - for example ‘Background’.

  2. Click on the information button on any of the images already uploaded in the ‘Background’ section.

  3. Copy all the tags of this existing image - this is an important step because these tags will be used to link your new image with the Template.
(example below: toyotaca, ittt, bg, beta, backgrounds).

  4. Click on the image link.

  5. Click on the Export tab.

  6. Click on Download.

  7. Open the image when it's downloaded to your computer.

  8. Once open, select 'Command - i' to get general information about the image.

From this, you know the image is:
    Size: 1.4 MB
    Pixels: 4618 w x 2598 h
    Resolution: 150 pixels per inch
    Colour Mode: RGB

It's very important that your new image (the one you want to upload into the Template) matches the specifications of the existing image!

  9. Once you've adjusted your new image to match the specs above, you can upload it.
So return to the Sesimi Asset Library and select Upload.

  10. Select your new image.

  11. Once your new image is loaded, select Done

  12. Now select your new image in the Sesimi Asset Library.

  13. Click on the Details tab

  14. Click on the pen icon to add the tags that you copied back up in Step 3.

  15. Type in the tags you copied from the existing image (eg. toyotaca, ittt, bg, beta, backgrounds). This is a vital step because it will link this new image to the Template. Make sure you put a comma and a single space between each tag!

  16. Save the new details.

  17. Click on the Access tab

  18. Share the new image with other team members - this means that those other people can use the image in the Template too!

  19. Save your new Share settings.

  20. Now return to your Template and hit the refresh button on your browser. After it refreshes, you'll see that the new image is now available for you as switchable content!
