Getting pre-approval is your first step toward a successful claim in MyFunds. It helps take the guesswork out of claiming on your co-operative fund program and ensures you’re set up for success. Just remember: submit your pre-approval request before your marketing activity goes live!
Why Pre-Approval?
Pre-approval gives you a clear path to claiming your marketing initiative. By following this simple process, you’re making sure your activity aligns with the fund requirements—saving time and minimising rework.
Step 1: Start Your Request
Go to MyFunds:
Log in to Sesimi and click on the "MyFunds" tab on your home page.Select the Fund:
Choose the fund associated with your claim.Open Pre-Approval:
Go to the "Pre-approval" tab and click on "Request Approval."
Step 2: Fill in Your Request Details
Choose Your Branch/Department/Dealership.
Select the Fund Period in which you’ll be claiming.
Pick the Relevant Fund Initiative:
Each initiative might have unique requirements, so selecting the correct one will display details like the reimbursement rate you can expect.
Step 3: Add Campaign Details
Enter the Number of Claims:
For example, if you’re planning a quarterly campaign, enter "4" to indicate four claims using this one pre-approval request. (Note: The number must be at least 1.)Create a Title:
Use a clear, descriptive title like "New Year Social Campaign" to help you quickly recognise it in the Claims process.Describe Your Marketing Activity:
Enter details that cover all the requirements of your selected fund initiative. This is your chance to explain how your campaign aligns with fund guidelines.Contact Information:
Provide an email or phone number in case the Reviewer needs to reach you with questions.`
Step 4: Upload Supporting Documents
Make your request strong by including key documents, such as:
Initial concepts
Assets from the Sesimi platform
Media quotes/plans
These items give reviewers a complete picture of your planned activity.
Step 5: Submit Your Request
Click “Submit” to send your pre-approval request for review. After submission, you’ll see your request in the "Pre-approval request" window with a status of "Pending."
After Submission: What’s Next?
Approval Status Notification:
You’ll receive an email once your request is reviewed, with one of three possible outcomes:
Approved: You’re good to go! Move forward with your marketing activity, and once it’s live, return to MyFunds to make your claim.
Declined: If your request is declined, check the email for a link back to MyFunds. Here, you can view feedback and see why it didn’t meet approval.
Revision Needed: If revisions are requested, the email will guide you back to MyFunds with specific feedback. Address these points and re-upload your updated materials by the deadline provided.
By following these steps, you’ll be ready to move forward confidently with your co-operative fund program! With a solid pre-approval in hand, you’re one step closer to a successful claim.
