How to activate your Sharesies account
You can activate your Sharesies account on either a computer or smartphone. You’ll need to have your phone handy to enter a security code we’ll text you.
Your details have been provided to us by the registry provider your co-operative uses—you’ll just need to check that they’re correct. You won’t need to provide any ID or documents at this stage.
Activating your account should only take about 5 minutes. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
Check your inbox for an account activation email from Sharesies—if you haven’t received this, contact our Support team at help@sharesies.co.nz
Click the button in the email, and confirm your name and phone number—if they’re incorrect, you’ll need to contact your co-operative’s registry provider to update these details.
Enter the security code we’ll text you.
Confirm the details of your entity—including whether it’s a Prescribed Person.
Answer two nature and purpose questions about how you plan to use the platform.
Agree to the Sharesies General Terms and Conditions, and market conduct rules.
Enter your login details if you already have a Sharesies account in your own name, or provide a few details to create a new one.
Once you’re set up, you’ll see the entities for which you’re the Trading Contact.
You can switch between your business profile and personal profile by going to the profile switcher—it’s in the top-right corner if you’re in the Sharesies app, or top-left corner if you’re on a desktop computer.
