Find out why you might receive a validation error when trying to verify your ID during sign up.

Reasons you might get a validation error

  • The name on your ID doesn’t exactly match the name you’ve entered into Sharesies.

  • Your browser and device may not be supported by Sharesies. Try accessing Sharesies from a different device or web browser. Read more about web browsers and platforms that Sharesies supports.

  • We rely on a third party database to confirm your ID details—if there’s an outage on that database, there’ll be a delay. You may need to get in touch with the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) and Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) to confirm your ID details. Typically, it's an issue with the drivers licence version.

If you don’t have any luck there are other ways we can verify your identity—it just takes a little more time. Send a certified copy of your ID to help@sharesies.co.nz.
