Top up with a bank transfer

To find the details needed to top up by bank transfer, log in to Sharesies and go to Wallet > Top up with bank transfer. Here, you’ll find the details you need to make a bank transfer:

  • your investor reference,

  • the payee name, and

  • the Sharesies account number.

When setting up a one-off bank transfer, or automatic payment, make sure that your investor reference is correct. We use this reference to assign your top-up to your Wallet. If you forget to add your reference, please let the team know at help@sharesies.co.nz.

Topping up your Wallet with a bank transfer can take a few hours on weekdays. Over weekends and public holidays, it can take a few days—it all depends on your bank!

Top up with a debit or credit card

You can top up your Wallet with a debit or credit card—it can take up to a few hours to process. There’s a card processing fee to use a card.

To top up using a card in Sharesies:

  1. Log in to Sharesies.

  2. Select Wallet > Top up with card.

  3. Enter the amount you’d like to top up.

  4. Select Next. You can either choose to pay with an existing saved card, or enter the details of a new card.
