Life gets in the way sometimes. We know that booking times often need to change on a whim. The following guide outlines what you can and can't do if you need to edit a booking.

  • The scheduled time of the booking can be adjusted at any point prior to a session beginning. For example; The original booking is set to be held at 19:00 on a Friday evening but you would like to move it back to 20:00. Just head to your 'bookings page' and click the green 'edit' button.

  • You can then choose the lesson you want to edit and decide whether you want to change the date, time or duration of the lesson from his page.

  • Once you have made an edit request it will need to be accepted by the tutor before the session is able to go ahead, so please leave plenty of time and message a tutor to make your intentions clear. You can cancel an edit request before the tutor has accepted it.

  • Tutors can make changes to an existing booking without the need for you to approve it so sometimes it is quicker to send a message in advance to ask them to make the change. Tutors must only make changes that have been discussed with the other party first.

You are not able to edit or cancel a booking 10 minutes before it is due to start.

You can even edit a booking within 24 hrs of the start of the session in question, i.e. after payment has already been taken. The tutor must accept the edit request by the cut-off time, 10 minutes before the lesson starts.

If the edit request is not accepted by the tutor then the original booking stands. You can always try to chat to the tutor in the messages section about rescheduling to another day or time that suits both of you since the lesson has been paid for.

If either side can't now make the current booking and are unable to find a rescheduled time to agree on, it will have to be cancelled by either side and the normal refund procedure* will automatically kick in.

* If the student's cancellation was made 24-12 hours before the beginning of the session and not accepted then the student will receive a full refund.

If the student's cancellation is made less than 12 hours before the start of the session then the student is only entitled to half of the lesson fee back.
