Creating New Tag

To create a new tag in your CRM, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Your GoHighLevel Account
    Access your CRM by logging in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Settings
    From the main dashboard, go to the “Settings” section where you can manage your CRM data.

  3. Access the Tags Area
    Within the Settings, from the left-hand menu, click on “Tags” to manage your tags.

  4. Click on “+ New Tag” to start creating a new tag.

  5. Enter Tag Details
    Provide a name for the new tag. This helps in identifying the tag’s purpose and application. Click on "Create".

Apply Tags to Contacts

  1. Select Contacts: Go back to the “Contacts” section and select the contacts you want to tag.

  2. Apply Tags: Use the “Apply Tag” option to assign your newly created tag to selected contacts. This can often be done in bulk.


Manage Existing Tags

  • Edit Tags: To edit an existing tag, go to the Tags management area, select the tag you want to modify, click on the 3dots by the side and then "Edit".

  • Delete Tags: To delete a tag, find the tag you wish to remove in the Tags management area, click on the 3 dots at the side and click the delete option. Be cautious as this will remove the tag from all associated contacts.

Search Tags

  • Search Tags: Use the search functionality to quickly find and manage tags.

Review and Use Tags

  • Review Tagged Contacts: Regularly review tagged contacts to ensure proper segmentation and use tags for targeted marketing or communication

In the Contacts section, select the contacts you wish to tag, then use the “Apply Tag” option to assign the tag to the selected contacts.


What happens if I delete a tag?

Deleting a tag removes it from all associated contacts, but it does not delete the contacts themselves. Use caution when deleting tags.
